Sealed bids will be received by the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro for the following contract: The project consists of preparing grant application to New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for the RFP 10 grant program and equipment, materials and installation services for solar photovoltaic electricity facilities as described further below. Bid responses shall separately show the calculation for preparing the grant application and the calculation for materials and installation services for solar photovoltaic electricity facilities as described further below. Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Supervisor until February 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be contained in a separately sealed, opaque envelope clearly marked “Bid for Solar Photovoltaic Electricity Facilities for Town Of Lewisboro Highway Garage”. CONDITIONS OF AWARD It is the intent of the Town of Lewisboro (“Town”) to award to the most responsive firm provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the requirements of this Invitation To Bid, judged to be fair and reasonable. The Town shall be the sole judge of the firm’s qualifications, and whether the bid is in the best interests of the Town. The Town shall have the right in its sole discretion to terminate the award with or without cause. The Successful bidder shall enter into a contract in a form satisfactory to the Town of Lewisboro for the project within seven (7) days after the notification of award of contract. If no contract is awarded within seven days of the opening of bids, the bid may be withdrawn. The Contract effectiveness will be contingent upon receipt of notice from NYSERDA by the Town of successful award of funding under its RFP 10 grant program. The contract with the Town shall be contingent upon a successful award of funding under the NYSERDA RFP 10 grant program and also contingent upon a resolution of the Town Board to accept the grant.
