NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro, will

hold a public hearing on April 21, 2014, at 8:30 p.m. at the Lewisboro Town House, 11

Main Street, South Salem, New York, for the purpose of hearing the public with regard to

a local law amending Chapter 220, Section 220-26(F)(I), Section 220-26(F)(7)(c) and

Section 220-26(F)(8)(c) entitled “Middle-income dwelling units,” of the Code of the

Town of Lewisboro, to amend the maximum number of middle-income dwelling units an

owner may own at one time, to require that prior to transfer of ownership, the Housing

Committee shall review the form of the deed to ensure that the appropriate deed

restriction is contained in the deed, and to only require the reexamination of rental

Mowing Services

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for mowing services for the Town of Lewisboro will be received by the Town of Lewisboro at the Office of the Town Clerk, 11 Main Street, P.O. Box 500, South Salem, New York 10590, until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 and then at said place be publicly opened and read aloud.
Copies of the information for bidders, general requirements, bid specifications, non-collusive bidding certification, prevailing wage certification, and bid proposals, may be obtained at the office of the Town Clerk. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the above address and must bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder and the inscription: 2014 Mowing Services, Town of Lewisboro. The Town reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to re- advertise for new bids. Bids shall be awarded in accordance with General Municipal Law Section 103.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
ATTORNEY FOR THE PLANNING BOARD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro is accepting proposals from qualified attorneys and/or law firms to serve as Attorney for the Planning Board. In this capacity, the successful applicant will serve as legal advisor, provide litigation services, and conduct legal research. Compensation for these services will be on an hourly basis.
The Town is interested in an attorney/firm with significant experience in land use matters and municipal law. The successful attorney/firm will have been admitted to the bar in New York State and be able to provide services in the courts of New York State or Federal Courts as required. All proposals should clearly state the educational background and legal experience of the attorney or attorneys who will be assigned to serve the Town in this capacity.
The proposal submitted should also include a list of references, preferably other municipalities and/or taxpayer funded entities.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro, did, at a public meeting held on December 2, 2013, adopt Local Law No. 11-2013 which amends  Chapter 92, Building Permits, Section 92-4(I) to add “for a period of twelve (12) months upon application by the permit holder, payment of the applicable fee, and approval of the application by the Code Enforcement Officer.  The first renewal of a permit shall cost the same as the cost of the initial permit plus 25% additional cost for each and every permit.  The second renewal of a permit shall cost double the fee of the first renewal of the permit.  The third renewal of a permit shall cost triple the fee of the first renewal of the permit.  The fourth renewal of a permit shall cost quadruple the fee of the first renewal of the permit.  Each renewal after the fourth renewal shall cost the same fee as the fourth renewal”.

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 175 of the Town Law of the State of New York, as amended, the annual election of officers of THE GOLDEN’S BRIDGE FIRE DISTRICT will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Fire House located at Route 138, Goldens Bridge, New York.  The polls will be open from Six o’clock (6:00 p.m.) in the evening until Nine o’clock (9:00 p.m.) in the evening, for the purpose of casting ballots.  The officers to be elected are:  One (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of Five (5) years commencing January 1, 2014, and ending on December 31, 2018.   Candidates for Fire District Office must file certificates of nomination at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the annual Fire District election; such filing shall be with the Secretary of the Board of Fire Commissioners.  Said certificates must be submitted in petition form subscribed to by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the Town of Lewisboro, Town of Somers, Town of North Salem, in Westchester County, New York AND who shall have resided in the GOLDEN’S BRIDGE FIRE DISTRICT for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding the annual election of such fire district officers.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE LEASE OF PREMISES OWNED BY THE TOWN OF LEWISBORO TO THE STATE OF NEW YORK DIVISION OF STATE POLICE

DATE OF CONSIDERATION/ADOPTION: June 17, 2013

WHEREAS, the Town of Lewisboro owns a certain two-story building located at 81 Spring Street, South Salem, New York 10590, in the Town of Lewisboro, County of Westchester, State of New York (the “premises”), and

WHEREAS, the Division of State Police of the State of New York has expressed interest in leasing the premises for the purpose of operating a police station of the New York State Police as a Satellite Office, and

WHEREAS, The Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro does not have a current use for the premises, and

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro finds that it is in the best interest of the Town to lease the premises to the New York State Police for the purpose of operating a Satellite Office, as it would benefit the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Town;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Lewisboro hereby approves and authorizes the leasing of the premises to the Division of State Police of the State of New York for the purpose of operating a police station of the New York State Police as a Satellite Office, subject to the approval of final terms of a written lease between the Town of Lewisboro and the Division of State Police of the State of New York, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Section 64(2) of the Town Law of the State of New York, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk of the Town of Lewisboro is authorized and directed to publish notice of this resolution in accordance with Section 90 of the Town Law of the State of New York.
