OUTREACH PROGRAM

Senior Adult Outreach Services: click here for a list of services or call the Outreach Office at 232-6167 with any questions.

"Are You Okay":

A telephone reassurance system has been initiated. Computerized daily telephone calls to each participant are made to ensure an individual is safe and well. Confidentially is always guaranteed.

"File of Life":

The File of Life is now available through this Outreach Program. It is an informational tool to provide assistance during a medical crisis.

Blood Pressure Program:

On the first Wednesday of every month at the South Salem Fire House a visiting nurse takes blood pressure and test blood sugar from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Please refer to the Senior Adult Newsletter for the monthly schedule of dates. Not during July & August.

Lewisboro Senior Adults' Meetings:

Weekly meetings are held on Wednesdays at the South Salem Firehouse on Route 35 in South Salem between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please bring your lunch to the Senior Adults' Meetings each Wednesday. The Senior Bus picks up for the weekly Wednesday meetings. Phone 763-6162

MEDICARE

Call the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services' Medicare Information Line at (914) 813-6100 for help with Medicare issues, including Medicare parts A, B, C and D, Medigap insurance, cost-sharing, preventive benefits and appeals. You can also ask about New York State's Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC); it helps eligible seniors pay prescription drug costs.

The Department of Senior Programs and Services also offers Medicare information workshops; check its events calendar here for dates and times.
