The Highway Department will NOT be picking up leaves this year.
The Town of Lewisboro will not be doing a town wide yard debris pick up from the recent storm. We will be picking up the larger limbs that came down and were pushed off to the side on the town roads. No time frame can be given but will be done as quickly as possible.
The Town of Lewisboro consists
of ninety-six miles of roads, eleven of which are dirt roads.
The Highway
Department budget is approximately two million dollars per year.
The
Highway Department:
Maintains all Town of Lewisboro owned roads.
Trims trees and removes brush within Town right-of-way.
Does drainage
work.
Removes dead trees within Town right-of-way.
Plows & sands Town owned roads.
Mows, sweeps and cleans Town roadsides.
Cleans and replaces catch basins.
Replacement and maintenance of all road signs.
Issues driveway permits and subsequent
approvals of completed driveways according to Town specifications.
Issues original common driveway permits
and subsequent approvals after construction has met Town specifications.
