VOTER REGISTRATION
Please note when all voter registration deadlines have passed: If you still would like to vote in the election you must appear before the designated judge in Mount Kisco Village Court on Election Day. After the court order has been granted to vote the resident must then return to their Lewisboro election district and vote on the voting machine.
Before the deadlines there were several ways to register to vote:
- Through the Department of Motor Vehicles. When you are required to update your driver's license one can also register to vote at this department.
- At the Town Clerk's Office, 11 Main Street, South Salem, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The voter registration form can be picked up, filled out and mailed to the Board of Elections. Deadline 10/9/09.
- In person Voter Registration in Lewisboro, at the Cyrus Russell Community House, 779 Route 35, Cross River, NY. Dates to be announced
- In person Voter Registration at the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, White Plains, NY 10601, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Deadline 10/9/09 except military, became naturalized citizen or moved within county.
- Voter Registration Forms:
Voter registration forms are available at the Town Clerk's office and voters may register by mail at any time. Or they may be downloaded (English / Spanish), completed, and mailed to Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, White Plains, NY 10601 by the appropriate date.
Must be 18 years of age on the date of election.
A citizen of the United States.
Live at your present address for at least 30 days before the election.
Not in jail or on parole for a felony conviction.
Not claim the right to vote in another jurisdiction
Absentee Ballots:
Applications for absentee ballots for all elections except school elections are available at the Town Clerk's office, can be mailed upon request or are available here on line. We are happy to mail applications directly to college students.

As Election Officer the Town Clerk is responsible for the Town's voting machines and coordinates the activities of the election inspectors and voting machine technicians. The Town Clerk also acts as liaison to the Westchester County Board of Elections receiving election supplies and returning them along with election results.

Districts 3, 6 & 10 Meadow Pond Elementary School, Route 123, South Salem.
Districts 4, 7 & 11 Increase Miller Elementary School, Route 138, Goldens Bridge.
All polling places provide access and parking for the handicapped. For further information, call 763-3511.
Election Inspectors:
The Westchester County Board of Elections is seeking qualified individuals to work as Election Inspectors.
We are especially in need of poll inspectors who are proficient in both English and Spanish.
Election Inspector Requirements:

You must be at least 18 years of age

You must be a registered voter in Westchester County

Hours are from 5:30 A.M. – 9:30 P.M.
The pay is $225 per day and $25 for attendance at a mandatory 2 hour training class.If you are interested in becoming an Election Inspector, please contact:
