ACARC was established in 1987 to "assess the effects of a proposed structure or the alteration or demolition of a structure upon the property values and development of surrounding areas." The council consists of 5 members, two of whom shall be licensed architects. 

The Town of Lewisboro is committed to equal access for all citizens. Anyone needing accommodation to attend or participate in the council meeting is encouraged to notify the Secretary to ACARC in advance.
