York State Forum Rockefeller Institute of Government The Town of Lewisboro's website has won a shared first-place "Best of the Web" award for local government, from the New York State Forum for Information Resource Management. The Forum is an organization founded in 1987 and has 2000 members who come from the technical staffs of over 65 NYS government agencies, including the university system and the NYS legislature. www.Lewisborogov.com was judged on functionality, ease of navigation, timeliness and resulting government efficiencies. www.Lewisborogov.com is a collaboration among Howard L. Funk of Goldens Bridge, the Town's Website Consultant, Kathleen Cory, our Town Clerk, Florence Furdyna, Webmaster, and the department submissions made to the website desk. The website was developed about eight years ago. Upgrades evolve as technology improves. A recent grant will enable a more interactive site. It has always been the Town's goal to allow residents to transact business with the Town via the website. The Best of Web award was shared - there were actually two first -place winners, the other first-place winner was the County of Westchester.
