The Town of Lewisboro has been a longtime proponent of the shift to clean, renewable energy. Steps taken include:
- Eliminating the building permit fee for solar panels.
- Joining with our neighboring municipalities in creating the first "Community Choice Aggregation" bulk electricity purchasing program in New York State - "Westchester Power"
- Teaming with Bedford and Pound Ridge for a Solarize campaign to promote the installation of rooftop solar , and,
- Participating in the Sustainable Westchester Community Solar program - helping bringing more clean energy to the grid while saving money for both town and residents.
