New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) licenses for fishing and hunting are available at the Town Clerk’s office or you may go to DEC’s website at: www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6101.html
New York State residents must show proof of residency by bringing their driver’s license when applying. Hunting licenses may be applied for usually during the second week of August. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation license year runs from September 1 to August 31.
New York City watershed permits for fishing on area reservoirs are issued through the NYC Department of Environmental Protection; Access Permit Office is located at 71 Smith Avenue, Kingston, New York 12401.
