Converting to LED street lights has the potential to deliver electricity cost savings of up to 65 percent to municipalities according to NYSERDA’s 2014 study.
Lewisboro actually has streetlights! And while not nearly so many as more urbanized places, the town has the potential still to saves thousands of dollars with the conversion.
Good news - In July of this year (2018) NYSEG informed the town that Lewisboro will be included in the current round of replacements. Stay tuned for updates.
