There are several ways to register to vote:
- Through the Department of Motor Vehicles. When you are required to update your driver's license, you can also register to vote. Or, sign up for "MyDMV".
- Pick up a form at the Town Clerk's Office, 11 Main Street, South Salem, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The voter registration form can be picked up, filled out and mailed to the Westchester County Board of Elections.
- In-person Voter Registration at the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, White Plains, NY 10601, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

by the appropriate date.
- Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age on the date of election.
- A citizen of the United States.
- Live at your present address for at least 30 days before the election.
- Not in jail or on parole for a felony conviction.
- Not claim the right to vote in another jurisdiction
